SpeedFan 4.28 beta 11 - new version of a SpeedFan utility, which allows to take measures from motherboard, HDD and nVidea video cards and also change fan speed.
Run this beta, enter the S.M.A.R.T. tab, make sure you are connected to the internet, select one EIDE or SATA hard disk, then press the "PERFORM IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS..." and you will be presented an advanced check of your hard disk, including warning, errors and tips. This is a technology preview that uses a database containing statistical data for a lot of hard disk models. Send me emails with your comments, suggestions and (hopefully few) bug reports. This feature simply needs to be able to send an HTTP request. HTTP PROXY settings have been centralized in CONFIGURE dialog. In order to run this beta, simply install SpeedFan 4.27, then replace the EXE from version 4.27 and then run SpeedFan as usual. Please, use the SEND REPORT facility on the INFO tab adding your notes.
